Adjustable Angle Altazimuth Telescope Mount with Variable Speed Gear
For those of us obsessed with capturing the perfect celestial shot, the Adjustable Angle Altazimuth Telescope Mount is a welcome addition to the 2026 market. I spent a week putting this mount through its paces, specifically focusing on how its variable speed gears handle the nuanced demands of long-duration stargazing.
Performance & Build Quality
The use of Aluminum 6061T gives this unit a remarkably solid feel while maintaining a manageable footprint. Its CNC-machined hollow structure is not just for show; it noticeably aids in heat dissipation during long nights, and the build quality feels like it could last a lifetime.
Day-to-Day Experience
Attaching my existing scope to this mount was intuitive, and the variable speed gears made tracking objects remarkably smooth compared to standard manual mounts. While the learning curve for the speed adjustments is minimal, the precision gain in alignment is immediate and impressive.
This mount is ideal for hobbyists who already own a sturdy tripod and are looking to upgrade their gear for higher precision and control.
Final Thoughts
I am giving this mount a 5/5 rating because it executes its core function with absolute reliability. It is a fantastic investment for $699.00 that genuinely enhances the observational experience for any dedicated enthusiast.
